Automatic Safety Covers and Slack

One of the most frequently asked questions by our customers upon seeing the Eclipse™ Automatic Safety Cover on their pool is “why are there ‘wrinkles’ in the fabric”?. Wrinkles are one of the indications of the slack found in a cover fabric and slack is necessary for an automatic safety cover fabric to function properly. Salt Water and the Eclipse™ Safety Cover

Coverstar’s Exclusive Heat Sealed Webbing

With the demand for Automatic Safety Covers on the rise, more manufactures are producing safety covers to try and capitalize on the growing consumer awareness, however not all covers are alike, and Coverstar’s exclusive Heat Sealed Webbing technology is a prime example of this.
  First, why is webbing so important? It is the key component that links an Automatic Safety Cover fabric to the system and is one of the main components that is constantly on the move, cycling through the system track on a daily and hourly basis. Second, it’s one of the main components that is in constant contact with your pools water chemistry and your home’s daily weather patterns, both of which have the potential to damage your webbing and reduce it’s life span. Third, webbing contains the bead that essentially helps lock your fabric into the track channel, keeping it connected to your system when water and/or people add weight to the cover.

So why is Coverstar’s Heat Sealed Webbing so superior to all other systems? Simply put, Coverstar's exclusive heavy-duty heat-sealed cover webbing eliminates the sewing of webbing. In fact, It is almost 20 times stronger than the standard sewn Dacron webbing's used by other manufactures. Couple our stronger webbing with our detachable rope system and our three channel slider system for under the deck systems and our unique wheel/slider assembly for deck mounted systems, and you virtually eliminate torn webbing issues.
